Playful Learning within Affordable Housing Developments
Communities become a source of learning and interactive play.
Deirdre Hyman, Tree House Books
We had an inspiring time at our DesignPhiladelphia event, hosted at KSS Architects’ Philadelphia office! Co-hosted by Live and Learn, ULI Philadelphia, and The Carpenters' Company, the session explored how we can bring playful learning into the heart of affordable housing projects.
From showcasing two pilot projects by KSS Architects and WRT to discussing implementation and challenges, we’re excited about the benefits these installations bring to multigenerational communities.
As Deirdre Hyman from Tree House Books beautifully put it, “Communities become a source of learning and interactive play.”
Looking towards the future, Beth Emig, RA LEED AP BD+C, KSS Architects, shared, “Success looks like playful learning installations integrated into every project.”
