KSS welcomes Kate NesSmith, Project Accountant, and Shelby Ulrich, Interior Designer, to the firm and our Philadelphia office. Through their respective disciplines, both Shelby and Kate bring valuable expertise that will support KSS’ client-centered, collaborative approach to design and help advance our shared vision of designing today for tomorrow. Kate NesSmith, Project Accountant

Kate joins the KSS accounting team as a project accountant, bringing eight years of experience in the creative industry. She previously worked as a project assistant for landscape architecture firms before transitioning into accounting—a role she has loved ever since. Kate thrives in this field, appreciating the opportunity to work alongside visionaries and creators.

Shelby Ulrich, NCIDQ, Interior Designer

Shelby joins KSS as an interior designer with a passion for sustainable design and a strong background in workplace environments. She brings expertise in creating spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Eager to expand her impact, Shelby is excited to explore new markets including education, cultural, and community-focused projects where she can bring thoughtful, well-designed environments to life.
