The Opportunity

A leader in importing and distributing quality specialty foods, Roland Foods sought to relocate, expand, and modernize their quality assurance lab. KSS partnered with them to conduct five feasibility studies within their existing warehouse space, seeking the ideal fit to support the company culture of achieving highest standards with integrity, respect, and pride.

Our Approach

Conveniently accessible from the main entrance, the selected location for the lab transformed into the new home of quality standards and testing. The laboratory features ample workstations for the team, wet lab cabinetry and equipment, and commercial kitchen grade appliances. The new lab environment embraces rigorous practices for the quality control of Roland’s diverse products, ranging from flavored risotto to sriracha chili to tins of escargot and beyond. Celebrating more than 80 years of success, Roland has maintained its superior global food expertise through a keen eye staying current, in its recipes, practices, and facilities.
